We were talking in the chat room tonite(okay last nite) lol about our loveable pets. So Cindy said start a thread . So here it is - we get to meet everyones loveables - with us and those in our hearts forever.

Here is the first. I was talking about Vanilla - I had her 16 1/2 years. Adopted her from the Humane Society @ Valentine's. Somebody had dumped a box of puppies in the marsh around New Years.

She was a wolfhound/terrier mix. She always had a pink nose. Drank doubledouble decaff, loved chocolate all her life. lol

As you can see by the pics it is like she was 2 dogs. Haircut for summer and a fluffy coat for winter. lol She also had what we termed as 'Reindeer ears" .

oh debbieann!  vanilla was so cute!!  i love the "look" she has in the first pic (btw - i cropped out all that white space from the scanning )  - i bet vanilla was quite a character!  and you're right, the 2 pics do not even look like the same dog!

donna, i love the look on max's face too - that little patch of yellow by his mouth gives him a smug little quirky look!  and penny of course is queen of the house!

here is our Princess, the grand-poodle . . . ya ever hear about grandparents raising the grandchildren???  well, we get to raise the grandpuppy LOL  let me find my pics of dixie and smokey and i'll get them posted later . . .

 Donna, I used to have a cat named Junior, who looks JUST like Penny.

Hello again - I will probably drive a few nutty  but ...... thought I'd share a love story with you. FELINE OF COURSE .LOL

This is pic story of how love can be a "pane" .lol

It is about MAX {my neighbours cat} and Ms. Miai {my little treasure}

They met and it was love at first sight. The tender looks thru the glass, the first dance -you get the drift.

These two developed quite the routine, They would chase each others tails thru the glas, stretch up the window. They would lay for hrs each against their side of the window.My neighbour would call telling me to send Max home.

Sadly Max passed 2 yrs ago, he was 15 yrs old.

debbieann, sweet story!!!  and the more i see you miai the more convinced i am that she & dixie are twins

and here is our puppy-puppy-princess.  carter always smiled when i would call princess like that!  she's a good little poodle - she listens to gramma, keeps me safe, and watches over the puter and sewing areas faithfully

What an awesome thread! I have been reading it on my phone, and love the stories and pics that everyone has shared.

Here is a picture of my Little Boy Blue, stubborn as ever. His kennel (where they eat) was out in the yard drying after a scrub down, but he refused to eat anywhere else. He kept jumping onto the shelf where his kennel sits and looking at us like, "I will have my dinner here, thank you."
