Not all is fun and games, much to my dismay. DH had a meeting at work that ran late. By the time he got home he was cold, wet, tired and hungry. Thought I'd better do the dutiful wife bit and take care of him. Who would indulge me all this fabric if he weren't around?!? Sorry I missed it, sounds like it was very informative.

It was a wonderful session Jacqui!! You did a great job of presenting the subject to us and not only did you enlighten us to some of the history of the crazy quilt and its symbolism but you stirred up lots of wonderful new ideas for us all!! WTG!! Sweet Pea!!

Sorry you didn't make it Meg, Nola, and Gert. We had some laughs and learned a lot as well.

And Jacqui promised to post some pics of some of her beautiful needle work and maybe some of Steve's needlework as well. And Jacqui I will be looking for YOUR crazy quilt pics too!!! :)

Wendy, I think you just need to do the buddy system like Jacqui is going to do with her stash , tell someone else  what you want to do and when and have them remind you.

Wendy-

You still would have missed it. It is seven o'clock CENTRAL TIME. Don't feel bad, it screws me up all the time, too. It was eight o'clock our time. That would be nice for a repeat, if Jacqui is up to it.

The discussion was at 6 central, wasn't it? Wouldn't that have been 7 eastern? Doesn't really matter since I missed it either way!!!!LOL! Wendy

My bad! I keep forgetting that the time on BC shows up on my computer as central time, and here it shows up as eastern. Forget everything I said!

Jess has agreed that we need to do this discussion again. If our little Buggs is up to doing it again. :)

As promised here are the two pieces I have finished so far of my traditional crazy quilt. I started with a large piece of muslin, cut it into random pieces and I am piecing my crazy on top of those random pieces. That way when I stitch them all back together, hopefully, the seams won't be very apparent.

BEEE-UUUU-TTT-III-FULLLLL!!!!!  Just exactly the kind of Crazy Quilt I've always planned to make.  Have lots of silks, satins, velvets, etc. saved to use for one - it's just a matter of finding time!!

Those are gorgeous, Connie.  I've also wanted to do something in crazy patch - even have a collection of weird fabrics to use - satins, silks, velvets etc but just don't get down to it :(
