Lovely flowers in your album Milica.

Here are a few more pics. I can't remember what the purple daisy like flowers are called , but they sure look beautiful mixed in with my roses and iris's. I'll have to remember to take a picture of my Hollyhocks too, that dh got me for Mothers Day. We put them in this same bed (with the pink roses/iris/daisy flowers).

Thanks Dorian - we have hollyhocks in France at our house and we have them in all colours, I particularly like the dark wine coloured ones the best, I will try and remember to take piccies when I'm next out at the house!

Here in the UK we mainly have shrubs and conifers in the front apart from the 4 different clementis and two climbing rose bushes that are on the house and garage walls - this is a very low maintenance garden as DH is not a gardener, it always used to be my job to look after the garden when I was at home when the children were very young!

He is in the middle of completing gutting the back garden as we have been here 24 years now and everything just got too big and woody so we are redesigning the whole garden.  It is a mess at the moment as the lawn has been dug up and there is a huge mountain of sawn tree/bush debris waiting to be taking to the tip!  I'm sure we will get them sometime soon.

One of my orchids that sits in the Bay window is in flower at the moment, it will have a total of about 20 flowers but not all of them are opened yet - here is a piccie of what it looks like now -  I have nutured both orchids as they were bought for me last summer when I had my first operation and whilst we were away in France the kids forgot to water any of my plants and these were nearly dead when I came back    The one that is in flower is pale pink and the one that is still growing new stems is a pale rust colour.

Lovely flowers, Dorian and milica!! Dorian, I think the purple daisy-like one is Osteospermum - my dear granddaughters bought me a purple and a yellow one for Mother's Day! and I would love to see the rust one, one day, too.

Sally

Took a look in your album - you have a lot of fruit and veggies, is it you or your husband that is green fingered?  You sure have some beautiful plants.

Milica,
I planted almost all of the flowers and flowering bushes but Johnny planted most of the veggies and does most of the basic gardening these days (since he's retired and I'm not!) We built the beds together. I started the 'new' pomgranites from cuttings (the entire back yard has poms along the 'utility road' (some of the really tall green bushed in photo backgrounds, the rest are assorted citrus.) Johnny planted and cares for all the citrus, including bringing me fresh squeezed juice!
I did have to do some gardening today after taking piccies--the morning glories and lantana were taking over! Had never gotten the lily stalks out of 'country bed'. It's a bit neater now!
Your orchids are gorgeous.

Dorian, beautiful flowers--keep 'em coming! I do love flowers so!
