thanks for all your prayers and concerns. Keep them coming! Robby's right arm is what took the brunt of the fire so it's from just above the elbow to his finger tips. Lots of bends! The bad stuff is on the bottom side of the arm, elbow and top of the hand. And he is right handed so he is learning to eat and dress and everything left handed! Keep you all posted!

Sherry I am so sorry I missed this thread, you and your DH will be in my prayers that all stays well..

on a less serious note you know if you wanted to have a giggle whilst he is learning to use his left hand you could always cook spaghetti .... I find it difficult enough to eat with two hands lol

Just wanted to let you all know that I took Robby to the doctor this a.m. and he said I was doing a great job with the cleaning! Everything looks good nad we go back next Friday just to see how it looks and he will let us know then how much longer we have to keep it wrapped. He also told Robby that by then the pain would be much better! Boy was he glad to hear that! Thanks for all your thought and prayers.

Just wanted to update everybody on Robby's arm! I took him back to the doctor yesterday and he was amazed at how great it looked. They didn't even clean it! Said I had done a fabulous job and that from now on he was sending all his burn patients to me for cleaning! I told him no thanks!
We don't have to do the twice daily dressing changes anymore. And he can leave it open to the air. Just has one tiny spot on his elbow that is still open but in a day or two that will be closed up.
I want to thank you all for your prayers and well wishes. Our God is an AWESOME God! He hears our prayers and works miracles every day!
Thanks again!

Yah Sherry!!! that is fantastic news. I'm so glad to hear Robby is doing so well. Great going nurse Sherry!! LOL. And now don't forget the Aloe. Since he can have his arm open to the air now, it's a good time to use it a few times a day. Pure Aloe you can buy in the store in a jar, if you dont have an Aloe plant.

I do have an aloe plant but I don't think it's big enough for this! Have to visit the store for a bottle of juice!
