This is what I'm working on for our next adopted baby.  The nursery is still Looney Tunes, but I wanted something different for the birth record.  I love this one, and I found a cross that has the same theme for the nursery:

http://www.joann.com/joann/catalog.jsp?CATID=cat3795&PRODID=prd38453

I will also be working on this for Jessica:

http://www.joann.com/joann/catalog.jsp?CATID=cat3813&PRODID=prd35350

All of my finished projects are matted and framed.  I have made several Looney Tunes for the nursery, and I need to know how to store them once I need to change the theme for a big kid's room.  Does anyone have any ideas?  I want my kiddos to have them later.

Happy Stitching!

jennifer, those are sweet birth samplers!  good choices!  be sure to post pics of them when you are finished.

my current project is about to be a ring-bearer pillow for billye lynne's wedding and i recently started working on wren's heirloom christmas stocking - the keyword here being *started* i worked on emily's and lynne's for more than 5 years . . . oh but the finished result is SOOOO worth it when i see them hanging from the mantel!

Jennifer~ Cute samplers!!  I can't wait to see them finished.

The only thing I can say for storage is NOT to leave them behind glass (if you have glass in the frame).  It will trap moisture. And if you wrap them in muslin or acid free paper and put them in a cedar chest, you should be good.  I don't know if the frame will do any harm over time.   I made some samplers for my mom that were yellowed from smoke over a period of time.  I took them out of the frames, washed them and then re-framed them.  Worked like a charm and there weren't any marks from the frame.  Good luck!

I have done stockings for my kids, 1 DIL, and finished my grandson's this year.  1 more DIL and granddaughter to do for this year!  I started the one for my DIL already and have the granddaughter's here ready to go.  Wish me luck!

Very cute Jennifer! I was about to go wondering where you have been lurking, hadn't seen you posting in awhile!

My mom made me several cross-stitch pictures growing up of Precious Moments, etc. She made them into pillows later on when I was older and PM was no longer my "theme" in my bedroom. Another idea would be to take them out of the frames and use them as squares in a throw quilt.

I posted in the accomplishments thread but here's what I finished tonight. Nothing big, but at least it is one thing done.  A bib for Jacob:

Jenn, your bib is so cute! I love the little caterpillar. I have made bibs out of handtowels by cutting a hole in the middle and adding the ribbed neck. They are very practical but not pretty like yours.
Char, your stocking is so precious! I can't imagine the hours you put into it. I have done a couple cross-stitched churches (8 x 10) that took me years to complete. So I am very impressed with all your work.

I started a new project last night. Eventually (when I get around to actually decorating) my kitchen/living room areas will be Americana. This will go on a wall....somewhere.....

Oh Jenn!! When we moved, I changed my kitchen dining room theme from Americana! I had loads of stuff, Americana and apples, that I sold in the garage sale. If I have any of it left, I will send it your way. I think it all went though.... Alas. Sigh.

Jacqui - yes, you must post some pictures. Your stuff is exquisite and I LOVE that Steve joins you!

jacqui, your wish is my command!    now this is not the ring pillow for billye lynne - i started this for amanda, who is like a niece to me - now if she & trey will just set a date, then i will finish it, but i digress . . . anyways, lynne's will look like this one except the "purples" will be done to match her wedding colors, which at this moment is "pool blue"  a really pretty aquamarine color, which i don't think lynne has realized is much like her birthstone, hmmm, must remember to tell her that . . . anyways, i will finish it off with some lace from my mother's stash and will get some satin to match for the back.  there will be matching ribbons attached at the birds' beaks for the rings.  btw - the aida is white, not sure why it looks blue-ish in this pic??

oh what a cute idea ! I just made simple satin and lace trimmed pillows for mine (I had two-one for each of the boys to carry. D carried my ring and J carried Zach's).

I actually got a fair amount of my project done over the weekend. It goes pretty fast. I like that. alot!. I started to pick up my civil war project again but I have to wash the fabric it is on before I go any farther. something got on it while it was in my bag and I'm PRAYING it comes out. I'm about 30% done with that and it will be huge when it is finished (if ever) so I'd hate to loose all the work I've done up to this point.
