Hmmmm.... well I guess we need to develop the timeline for the swap. For those of you who are interested, when would you like to swap? March? April? I will talk to Nawma and see when the pattern will be available.

Also, we need a hostess and co-hostess for each of the sets of 6 swappers. Here are the volunteers I see in this thread:

1st set of 6 swappers: Hostess - Cindy, Co-Hostess - Pat
2nd set of 6 swappers:

It looks like we will probably have only one or two sets. If we are a bit short or long on the swappers, we will figure something out.

When we have a timeline set up, I will start a new thread for sign-ups. Cool?

I'll host a set. I vote for April as well, we have alot going on here so lets get a few of these other swaps underway so nobody feels "over committed" and doesn't participate.

Jess ... if you are still thinking of maybe ordering the Blank Quilting "Shade Cascade" fabrics for this pattern ...

http://www.blankquilting.com/FabricSearch.aspx?keyword=shade%20cascade&PageName=FabricGallery.aspx

... I can now say that I got to fondle these at a nearby quilt shop today.  The color bands are much wider than what appears in this photo. Since there are four color gradations across the WOF, the bands are about 10-11 inches. They had the whole line ... they are gorgeous ... the colors are even nicer close up and the fabric appears to be of good quality. I have not bought any yet ... but I am sure that I will be soon ...   Pat

I just wanted to bring this one up again since we've now done the other swaps going on and summer has arrived.

I'm still wanting to do this swap! I'll host/co-host a set if I need to.

Hello, new to this site. I enjoy swaps very much. I actually host swaps on another site. This one caught my eye and would love to join! Is this swap still in the planning stages or has it fizzled out? Hope it continues.

hi chel!  welcome to the Q&N!!  looking forward to getting to know you better!  i am the resident "menace" from the land of peaches.  we have members from all over and we like to boast that jess has THE best mysteries anywhere on the web!

this swap is kinda in between on the planning stages.  our diva designer connie (nawma) has finished the pattern but we haven't quite gotten ready for the actual swap - it may be after the first of the year just don't know right now . . . but keep an eye on us!  never can tell what'll happen around here!

Hi,

This sounds like a great swap in which I would like to participate. I like the idea of
starting sometime in the new year, or when we get enough swappers.

My personal opinion is that the strips should be 2 inch wide, as when you consider
there will be two 1/4 inch seams that would make the strip width of 1-1/2 inch.
Anything less would not show enough fabric.

I also have a question: Are the 2 inch strips of pre-washed and ironed fabric?
If not I would suggest that we add that as a requirement as some fabrics do bleed.

I'm willing to be a co-host or help in any way necessary.

Do you have the pattern for this quilt, and the outline of the strip colors?

Have a Great Quilty Day!

I just saw this topic. Please count me in on this swap. I'm up for April or May. I'm behind on Christmas and will be finishing up that in January! lol

As to size of strips, I could use a smaller version, but will go with whatever the group decides. After the first of the year, I would host or co-host a swap too. Just let me know. Love the pattern Connie.

I will be out of touch starting the 12th until after Christmas.

Jess & Connie-

Was just wondering if this pattern is going to appear in the shop anytime soon?
