Ladies I'm going to moderate a discussion session on continuous bindings on the 17th of this month. Hope you will all join me and learn to make these bindings an integral part of your quilting process. It's very easy and you will like the look on your quilts better than blocked off bindings.

Timing doesn't work for me. I will say since I discovered an easy way for doing it I wonder why my mind couldn't grasp the concept for years. There is nothing nicer and now in my opinion really easier.

Hey ladies-

Nawma, Pat and I had a nice little chat this evening, but we postponed the Discussion Session when no one else showed. It seems like everyone is so busy this month and I wasn't around for the reminders and newsletters. Nawma and I will plan a date for the reschedule, and let you all know.

Haha, Dorian and Rhonda showed up later too, and I got a good chat with them as well. Thanks to all of you ladies for letting me vent my moving frustrations for a bit! I am off to get back to it, have a great evening. I will post about the new date when we set it up.

And I thought of it this morning, then got busy with making supper (fried rice, sauteed veggies and scrambled eggs) and couldn't leave the stove - thought of it at 5:45!! Sorry, all!! I will try harder next time (and you are right, summer is a busy time for many) Jess, hugs to you - I know what you're involved in - hubby and I were talking just after supper and we have moved 3 times in 4 years!! :O

Jami, glad your power is back up!

well i was fixin' to ask what "blocked off bindings" were and then looked at your pdf file - i already do my bindings that way   i feel like i could sit in the front row of the classroom for that discussion!  i was exceptionally proud of my binding on my baby steps quilt i finished not too long ago!  the point where my "tails" met looked much neater than the last binding i did - and my mitered corners are looking better too!  practice DOES make perfect!!

i look forward to the re-scheduling of this discussion - hopefully i will be back at my own puter by then

Cindy, I do my bindings that way, too! It looks really good, especially with scrappy bindings.

I was supposed to be out last Thursday night, but ended up feeling pretty yucky - must have been something I ate. So I just rolled up in a blanket on the couch and didn't move all evening! I'm looking forward to participating when it's rescheduled.
