Last night one of co-workers had to rush her baby girl to the emergency room where they discovered she had bleeding in the brain, and performed emergency brain surgery.  Little Meredith came out of the surgery ok, but she remains in ICU for the moment.  I can't imagine what this family must be experiencing at the moment. Please keep Lana and her little girl in your prayers for a speedy and full recovery for Meredith.

I will keep them in my thoughts! One of my coworkers has a 5 yr old niece who has a huge brain tumor, so they are going through the same kind of worry. It's so hard to see little ones suffering who don't understand what's happening!

Jenn, your friend and her little girl will remain in my prayers as well. I can't even begin to imagine how hard this would be. Bless their hearts!

haven't heard any updates yet today, so I'm hoping no news is good news. I'll update as soon as we hear something.

We were able to hear an update from Lana late yesterday. Little Meredith is holding her own for now, but the doctors are anticipating needing a second surgery early next week. She is only 6 months old, so this has got to be just terrifying for the whole family. We took up a collection for the family here at work, to provide food and whatever else we can for them during this time. The company, fortunately, is very family focused, and has stepped in to help as well.

I'll hopefully have an update on Monday as to how she fared over the weekend.

Great News!!! Meredith was released this morning to go home, however she still has a shunt, and will require another surgery soon, but she has surprised the doctors with how well she has been recovering so far, so they are allowing her to go home and be cared for in a more comfortable environment. The doctors are giving her a much more postitive prognosis for an eventual full recovery than they were just a short week ago.

Thank you guys for all your prayers for Lana and her little girl :)
