I hate that there are people who have to suffer and I wish I could do more, but this story is the best Christmas gift I will receive this year.  It seems like such a small thing we are doing I am flying that we were able to give someone comfort when it was definitely needed.   Merry Christmas Snug Society,  well done.

Thank you for sharing that story with us Connie. I'm so sorry for Sarah, and will keep her in my prayers. I'm so glad to 'see' that our quilts are touching someones hearts though.

Yes, Harmony home has to still be on our to-do list for next year.

Hey everyone, I got an email note from Bruce BonFleur (our contact at White Clay, NE) and he included pictures!  Am hoping to attach them here, but first here's a copy of his note:

Sandy, Just finished a different email to you and then accidently erased it!
What it said basically was.....  Got your phone call at home the other day.... did email you back months ago after we hosted an 'honoring ceremony' at 555 (last fall)... Never heard back from you, assuming that you got it.... so, here goes some photos we hope you can use to share with the quilters.... includes local Lakota leaders (tribal chief, Oliver Red Cloud, in wheel chair; other community and agency heads/servants; lady pastor and single moms)... Norma Blacksmith (Lakota Christian Elder/member of our Board) is taking the most recent quilts (3) that we received recently to the Cohen Home for Elderly, Pine Ridge.  Will forward you photos of those also.  Watch attachment with this email and following emails.  THANKS again for all you do, blessings to the quilters/givers, until later, His Peace, Bruce
(BonFleur)
These pictures touched my heart.  Hope you all have a great day.             Sandy

What a wonderful sight that is Sandy!!! Thank you so much for passing these on. Ladies you have certainly outdone yourselves this last year with these charity quilts and what a wonderful testament to the loving, giving attitudes of quilters!!! WTG!!!!!

oh connie, it is so much more than that . . . i have been in a self-imposed self-pitying "funk" of a mood the last couple of days - seeing these pics of the beautiful smiling faces wrapped in these beautiful quilts . . . well, one kleenex is not enough . . . these pics did my heart more good that i can ever express . . .

all you ladies that have gone above and beyond yourselves to provide these quilts made by loving hands and with loving hearts - i can never get over the fact that i am associated with such a wonderful group!!  thank YOU!!!!!

I saw the pictures this moring before work, but didn't comment (in a hurry). I kept thinking about them on and off all day. Gave me a smile everytime. Just to think how warm and comforting these quilts must feel to each of them.

Wow, that is exactly why we do the projects, you know? It looks like these quilts are finding fabulous homes where they can provide both comfort and warmth! And it makes me feel so good that we are doing this!
