Donna--
Yes it is a 4-patch stacked posies pattern. It wasn't as confusing as I thought it would be, but I am glad that my first "stacked" project was taken as a class. That way, someone else is giving me their experiences, wether good or bad.

Pat--
Yes, I am happy with the way all the blocks turned out different. When I first saw this fabric, it was something that I never would have looked at twice. But since it was an older fabric, and a little cheaper than some of the newer ones, I thought that if it didn't turn out to great, I wasn't out as much. My fabric had a smaller repeat that some of the other ladies did, and I actually did 3 repeats instead of 1. That way, I got enough squares for a king size quilt!! I will pick up the sashing fabric this weekend at the shop hop, maybe I can get it complete for Christmas!!!

Very nice Pat!  Is the whole piece done by hand?  Quilting too?  It's cute.  How big is it?

Here's the tote I made for my DS from fabric purchased in Memphis.  Her tote strap broke on our way home, so thought I'd fix one that wouldn't ever break.  These straps go all the way around and are made from an old pair of bluejeans Dad had.  Used the back of the leg since the knees had holes in them.  The orange on the outside is pockets all around and the blue inside is pockets also.  She's heading for Hawaii in April so will need her tote on the trip.

Oh, my ... no!  The only hand stitching in this quilt were the details in face. The rest is all machine applique and piecing and quilting. It is a wall hanging ... 22" by 25" ... machine applique is quite an accomplishment for me ...

That is a really pretty and sturdy tote bag, Sandy ... ... your design?

Adapted this pattern after looking for "free tote bag patterns" on the internet.  I added pockets to my lining.

Dorian ... thanks for the kind word

Sandy ... thank you for the link to the pattern that you adapted.  The inner pockets and extra sturdy straps were a great addition to the design.  This is the type of basic tote that I like to make and use ...
