Kidsrn,

The Birthday Swap is a great way for you learn different how to make the different blocks.  This shows you how simple or how difficult they can be.  I'm still in the learning process, too. So your not out there alone.  If you find your elf running into difficulty, I'm sure one of these great ladies or I will help you.

Happy sewing!!

Gina

You are right Gina these kind of swap are a great way to master skills. I have made blocks in the past thinking they are way off my comfort zone and after they were done I wanted to make more.

And yes if you would like to join the second group I will put ya down.

Nanci,

Sign me up for the 2nd group or large group what ever works well with all our members.

During some of the block swaps I did over the years. I truly came across blocks that I thought I would never be able to make. But with patience and my handy seam ripper, I did overcome the fear and they actually looked nice.

Since I starting the quilting adventure, I was always stuck on batiks. I had to learn to come out of my comfort zone and broaden my herizon. Secretly I'm still in love with batiks.

My husband gave me Judy Neighmer,s Double wedding ring. Been working on that and I'm in love with it. If I only had more time and could sew faster. I'm excited to see the out come. At night I work on all the flowers that need to be appliqued on later. It is coming out beautifuly.

Let me know what everyone decides and I'm in.

Have a great day!!!

Gina

Donna,
I will try to post pics, not very good at that yet. But I am determined to master that art to. I took Carol Doak's paper piecing class in Hershy at the show they have, the end of July. It's a great time,

Happy sewing.

Gina, we had Carol Doak do a 2-day workshop at our guild several years ago. I loved her! And I finally learned how to do paper piecing. :)

thelma, i have moved denise to Group 2 & added tiffaney to Group 1 & added gina to Group 2, which makes tiffaney & gina in both groups.

that leaves 4 slots open in Group 2 who else wants to play?

gina, i can't wait to see your project too!  we all eye candy!

donna, that would be nice to have a "visual" lesson on paper-piecing

Donna,

I loved Carol Doak's class as well.  She is so easy going.  I learned a lot from that class.  I would someday like to meet up with her again.  Like one of her cruise's she does.  That would be a blast !!  She really is a great teacher.

Happy Sewing!!

Gina

The Birthday group change is fine with me.  I'll wait for Nanci to post everything for the swap.

I also, would be glad to post a pic of my eye candy.  But I'm still in the process of trying to post pictures.  Hopefully, I will figure it out.

If my children would slow down a little and give me 10 minutes of their precious time.  Maybe, one of them can help me post the pictures. Happy sewing!!  Gina
