Thank you Milica and all who have been keeping Cindy in your good thoughts and prayers.  They've been answered!  Here is the note Nathan sent to our family today:
Hi everyone,
Cindy is safe and sound at our house in Bury St. Edmunds. She is in good spirits however still pretty weak. Her hemoglobin was 9.8 today before we left the hospital. She will be here for about 3-4 weeks prior to going back to the states to make sure she gets her strength back and to ensure she has no malaria or typhoid relapses. The multiple doctors that were involved on her case were unable to pin down what caused the hemolysis, however it has stopped which is a huge answer to prayer.
Thanks for all the prayers. I am sure she will start communicating via phone and e-mail starting tomorrow.

Nathan and Charity Marshall

Sandy, that's great news! I know she will recover her strength faster now that she's out of the hospital and with family.

Sandy

That is terrific news, now she needs to rest and build her strength up ready for her return to the states.  Please keep us informed of her progress.

We got a note from Cindy, so I've copied it below.  Her mother tells us she will be returning to SD Aug 18.  Yay!!!!  Thank you so much for your prayers.

Hi!
I had blood taken on Tuesday and the doctor just called me, so I thought you may want to know the results.  He said the liver and kidney function were totally back to normal.  He said my liver function had been abnormal in London, which I did not know about. He had also run a test for any residual infections in the body. He said a real healthy person would score 0 to 6, but it could be up to 200 and above if there was any infections. Mine was a one, which is wonderful. So there is nothing left over from the Africa diseases it seems. My hemoglobin was up to 10.8 from 9 in the hospital and below 6 in Africa. It is not normal yet, (normal being 13 to 14) but at least it is on the way back up. The doctor said that when the bone marrow takes such a blow, it takes a while to recover.   Cindy
