Cindy-

I think we have to figure out a setting first and then see how big the blocks are...and go from there. I can play with it in EQ when we settle on a design for the block to figure out just what we are going to need for the rest.

I'll get my blocks in the mail to you in the next couple of days. Was just waiting to see what else I may need to send...just in case.

Donna

Thanks for letting me know it has arrived.  E-Quilter is really good and they offer good customer service, I have used them quite a bit.

Miss Pat-

If you'd like to that would be WONDERFUL!!! This would have all the parts spoken for and we could start setting some "we'd really like blocks, etc. to Cindy by this date".

I would so love to be able to have this little quilt to Dorian and Hubby before this little one arrives! With the holidays fast approaching (   ) I don't want this lost in the shuffle of normal preparations.

Hello Everyone!

Now that all the parts are spoken for, I think we need to try to set some deadlines on when stuff needs to be mailed out.

I was kind of thinking that everyone should be able to have their parts mailed by the end of November. That will give Miss Cindy plenty of time to get this little quilt pieced and on it's way to Donna to be quilted before that little precious bundle arrives.

Once we know how many "extra" blocks are sent, we can pick out a layout and figure what is needed for the "bonus" quilt.

Thanks again for everyone helping make this extra special quilt for Dorian!!!

Jami

I got my blocks cut out and ready to sew (though I have to pull out the fabrics again to make the extras - I used QC's pattern for Hope of Hartford - much easier to figure out what to cut for one block - though I am making two). I should have them in the mail Monday.

Just want to verify.... we are sending just the extra square blocks to Cindy... (rather than making the entire star block that would spin in the opposite direction?).

I have figured out the fabric needed to make 1 block.  (there was an error in the actual cutting directions on line).

Background fabric: (yellow)  cut 2 squares 4 7/8"   PLUS   4 rectangles  2 1/2" x 4 1/2"

center and points: (green) cut 2 squares 5 1/4"  PLUS 1 square 2 1/2"

Focus print: (multi-colored) cut 4 squares 5 1/4"   (the math on the website figured out for 2 squares... and you won't have enough)

My blocks are 1/2 stitched.... will post a pic later..

YAY!! got my two blocks and the extra pieces cut and sewn today - they'll go in the mail early next week - hubby and I have some heating and gasline work to do Monday and Tuesday, so no time to go - besides that should give me time - I hope - to get a couple other things done for the mail.
