Here are pics of the little monkey quilt I'm working on this week. got the center of the the top done.... still need to apply the border. Trying to decide on corner stones.... I've decided it needs the little yellow flange....

These two monkey fabrics were on a clearance table for $1.50 a yard.... bought all of both. I'll use the little toss fabric on the back.

Took the little stripe fabric and enlarged just the monkey head 400%. and appliqued 6 of them into the largest squares in the yellow brick road blocks. Just pulled some pieces from my stash that seemed to work. (oh, I did buy the banana fabric... decided it really needed some bananas).

Cute quilt Denise! I've been looking forward to seeing this, ever since you first mentioned it. Cause I am doing a monkey quilt too! lol Is the dot fabric by Anne Kelly by any chance?

That is one cute quilt, Denise!! way to go! One of these days I want to make YBR in Christmas fabrics - all reds and greens. I've seen one done that way, and 'loved' it!

And here is the center of Mark's quilt all sewn together! And the picture is right side up. I was looking forward to seeing it right side up, too. Now I just have to make and add a bunch of borders.

Oh Donna, I love the applique! Is it a table topper for Christmas? Mark's log cabin is stunning. I love the layout! Did he request that pattern?

Here are some of the things I am working on this week. These are for the classes I am teaching this Fall at the LQS.

The first picture, Twister, is coming along nicely, and I love how easy it is and how I get to use so many fun large prints in one quilt.

The second picture is all of my pieces cut out for my "Lucky Stars", by Atkinson Designs. I love her patterns! They are easy to read and full of great information. This class will be great for beginners since the points float on all of the stars. I have used all of my Black and White Fat Quarters I won at the retreat, plus all of my white on black layer cakes from the swap. Now I have a stack of black on white layer cakes left! Lol, I guess I better start replinishing my already small black and white stash.

Great projects, Jess! I've seen the Twister demonstrated at quilt shows but haven't tried it. I love Atkinson Designs, too. I have her Monterrey Medallion to make one day.

I picked out Mark's quilt pattern. It's supposed to be a surprise for his BD, but I think he knows I'm working on something for him. But he hasn't seen it unless he's been snooping in the sewing room, and he's not much of a snooper! It's a Judy Martin pattern.

The applique is pretty big (maybe 24 x 36...I haven't measured it) so I'm not sure what I'll do with it. Probably hang it on the wall somewhere. If I put it on a table one of the cats will barf on it or something will get spilled!

Mark's quilt top is finally finished! I couldn't get a very good picture...no space on the floor big enough to lay it out, and no way to get up high enough to take a good picture on the bed. When it's finished I'll get him to hold it up for a good picture!

Beautiful, Donna!  Both your wall hanging and your Mark's Log cabin quilt.

Jess, how are your quilts coming along?  Your pics looked interesting!

Denise, the monkey quilt was cute!   Sandy

That's lovely Donna!

Here is what I'm working on. The top is finished. Just need to quilt it now. It's a baby quilt for my best friends first grandchild. The nursery theme is jungle. So monkey's jumping on the bed is appropriate, I think
