Hi ladies! Over the next few days, you will start to notice differences in the way the forum looks. I am trying to make it our own, so be patient with me, as I am new at all of this. As you can see, I have the logo put on the top.

Bad news for those of you using the classic skin - I am headed over now to disable it. It is going to be too hard to update it, as it went with an older version of this forum software. I will keep the most popular two skins for now. Sorry to the 4 of you who will now have to choose a different skin.   I hope these changes will make our site easier to use and give it more of a Quilt and Needle feel.

Thanks for your patience!

this might be a dumb - no no no don't use the word "dumb" - er um, a question that shows my absolute lack of knowledge of what you are talking about, but someone is GONNA ask so it might as well be me.  just how do we know what skin we are using and how do we change it????

The only dumb questions (as Nawma says) is one not asked.

The skin is the way your page appears to you. There should be a button on the top menu bar for you to push for skins. You can try the two different ones, and see which you like better. Most people never change their skin and are still using the default, so I think it is a question many would ask.

Thanks for asking!

Is the "ocean" skin the one that is changing or the default? I have been using the default, but just switched to the ocean and find it much easier on these tired old eyes to read, wish I had changed sooner. Whatever you choose would you please pick one that those of us who need six magnifying glasses to read will be comfortable with. Thank you.

The one I got rid of is already gone. For now we will continue to have these two, but eventually I would like to have one custom designed to our site... but that is a dream! Don't worry Meg, I will do my best to make sure the website is adequate for each of our members.

I have one more request. Is there any way for you to set the font size to a minimum of two or three? Lately there are number of posts in small type. It is really straining my vision to read through them. If they are very long I just have to skip over them.

Hi Meg- Yes, I asked him to do the font not too small and a nice color that shows up well. The fonts are smaller on this ocean skin, so when you changed over from the Classic Mega BBS skin, you got black writing instead of green, but the size got smaller. With these two skins, you just have to pick your poison I guess! Hopefully we will have a new skin sometime this week. Cross those fingers! In the meantime Meg, I suggest you go back to the MegaBBS default skin.

Hi everyone -

If you are not already on it, go to your skins and change your skin to MegaBBS 2.0 original (Default). You should see the new header with our logo at top. Let me know if you have any issues with things changing on the new skin. I am already going to try and get the fonts on the menu bars a little bigger and easier to read.

Geuss I am in the minority here- I liked the soft blue. It was easier on my eyes. This is too bright for me, my eyes are sensitive to light. Is there an alternative?
