Oh, thank you, Nola, if you are sure! I will sure appreciate it - now if my little brother lived out here, I could get a couple from him, but he's way out in southern Ontario. You're a sweetie!

Not a problem at all, Gerda.  Glad to share!  I just went and looked at the bag of tees - there are 90 in the bag and I don't think I'll EVER make that many pincushions or snowmen!  My daughter got them for me and I think she said the bag was less than $2 so just consider the ones I send you as a "Very Merry Un-Birthday Gift"!  (my best friend and I used to say that every time one of us did something nice for the other!)

Hugs,
Nola

Well, Nola, an un-birthday gift is just as welcome - and who knows? Depending on when you mail the parcel and I get it, it might just BE a BIRTHDAY present!! It's creeping up on me mighty fast!! LOL Not that I'm dreading it, oh, no, just feeling blessed to be getting where I am (I'll be 58).

Cindy, thanks, got it and replied (a couple of times, I think, before we left for swimming lessons - brrrrr, it is COLD here today!!! It was -26C/-14F WITHOUT the wind this morning, bright and sunny, but COLD!!

Nikki - So sorry - I did get your package - thank you very much!! My camera batteries have needed recharging and I keep forgetting to charge them. I'll try to remember to do that tonight so I can take a picture. Those blue FQs are perfect - I'm planning to do my Old Rag Mountain quilt in blues, greens and golds, and the ones you sent will be beautiful in it! Thank you again!

I'm beginning to get really concerned now about the parcel I sent out to my Secret Valentine.

I posted it towards the of January, so it's almost a month I know it has a long way to go, (it's a pretty big ocean between me and all of you!) - the only thing I can think of is that has been pushed to the back of a shelf somewhere.  I posted it in the week before most of the U.S was hit by that massive snow storm that seemed to cover the whole country, so that may have something to do with the delay

My Christmas swap parcel was also very late arriving. I'm seriously thinking it may be for the best if I don't join in any more swaps, I already have enough grey hair !

I will PM you later Cindy/Gerda and figure out what is the best thing to do about this one. I hate to let down my Secret Valentine, she is a very nice lady who deserves this treat

Cheerio for now,

Yours in frustration

Sue

Sue don't despair yet sweetheart, a lot of my parcels have taken a loooooong time to get there, but most of them have arrived eventually. stressing MOST.

I know that Milica is in the same boat as you as she sent out things which do not seem to have arrived either.

This is one major reason I don't join in RR. I am always afraid other peoples work may get lost. I do still indulge in some of the swaps but the wonderul ladies on here do understand that our postal system leaves a lot to be desired and are willing to wait bless their hearts.

I know you will be fretting over your parcels but hopefully they will show up in the next few days, fingers crossed for you and your SV xx

Dear Jacqui,

Many thanks for your lovely words of encouragement You are right, I am stressing about it, it is SO frustrating, especially as I know that many times post reaches my daughter down in Australia (letters and parcels) in less time than it does to reach friends in America. Maybe it's the route it takes, I have a friend in California and post often reaches her in approx. 5 days!! A friend I have in Russia receives her post from me in about 10 !

I shall keep watching here and hoping it arrives soon.  I was wondering if Milica's had been received yet - it is kid of reassuring that it hasn't turned up yet either, but NOT good for Milica and her SV

Bye for now,

Sue

Oh my don't fret Sue......it will arrive. I got my magazine from you and it took 10days, I think. It can take 14 - 21 days for me to mail to the US and hey we are in the same continent.lol.

I get the RR reasoning that Jacqui mentioned - I feel the same here. But hey stay in the swaps - it's ok.

AND FOR THE RECORD MY PKG FOR THE BATIK SWAP WAS THE LAST ONE TO BE RECEIVED - I even mailed it early jan 26th. Katie mailed hers the same day and we aren't that far apart. Pat got hers almost 2 weeks before mine. Figure that one.lolol

Hang in there you guys, we'd be lost _ at least I would _ if I didn't have my international quilty pals.

Hugs and stitches

Debbieann

We would be lost without you guys too! WE love our international swappers!!!! I know the postage system leaves much to be desired... and customs does't help much either....

Mail moves again today after a federal holiday, so hopefully they will break loose.

Even our US postal system has it's failures..... I mailed Christmas cards and money one year to my Step Daughter and grandkids..... they never got them. I resent..... then in about June, she got a bundle with a letter saying that an entire USPS trailer had been packed , and then parked..... for 6 months! An entire 40 foot trailer full of mail and packages!

Dear Midge,

Phew! I am so glad your  Secret Valentine package has finally arrived and that you like the bits and pieces. I had great fun putting it together, it's a good thing for both of us that you are a patient soul

I didn't take a photo, sorry.

Cindy and Gerda, BIG thanks goes to both of you for putting up with my frustrations  and also to everybody else who posted words of encouragement  I am NOT the patient sort

Cheerio for now,

Sue x

ps. How did your MRI go?
