All The News There Is to Swap

Round 2 is done!   This went better than any other swap I have run. Maybe because this is a smaller swap and there are no real duplicate fabrics ... (I had one but I only cut a half of a set) ... although there are several shades of one color batiks in green and in red and in pink that are very close to one another.  So I do not think that there are any doubles of any fabric in anyone's return sets except mine ( ... and I don't mind ... I actually cut a few extra scrappy sets so I could snag a few extras of some of these "gems" ... so I finished with 14 sets ... heh ... heh ... heh  ... )

All that is left is to do the final count and check ... and bag the layers ... and then put them into the return envelopes ... that is for tomorrow ... and the day after.  It looks like I shall have to have my hubby pick up some flat rate prioroty mailers for me tomorrow as I do not have enough at home.  I need to have everything sealed when I take these to be mailed.  So Friday looks good to be the mailing day. That is the soonest that the car will be available to bring everything to the post office when the counter is open to be weighed and stamped.

Final Swap Statistics ...

15 swappers

76 sets

760 squares

112 different fabrics

For now ... here are some Round 2 piccies for your viewing pleasure ...   Pat

I agree with everything above. Great photos of the colours, great fabrics. efficient inspectors, and I anticipate eye candy I won't want to part with.
I can't imagine the thrill of handling all those layers of cake.

Pat, thank you so much for sharing the pictures.  I can only imagine the temptation it must be to hoard all those colors, and I am very grateful that you are of strong mind and able to send us each a bunch back. Really, thank you for doing this swap and giving us the gift of your time.

And, I loved seeing your cat inspectors doing their work; I have a cat supervisor almost all the time that I quilt, and sometimes more than one!   Your first inspector looks like my sister's cat Tucker and the second one looks like my other sister's cat Gilbert.  Take your time mailing -- I think we are all enjoying the anticipation of getting a package as much as anything (or is that just one of my addictions?).

Hope you have a wonderful week, Laura

Oh Pat, I've done it now I ordered a batik, on line, for the border of this quilt! Without even seeing which layers I'm going to get!!!   Now you know why I don't buy lots of batiks ... it is just too tempting!

Besides this one print, I also found the bright Hoffman Bali bundles on sale somewhere, so I bought the brights for another quilt. I can use this piece on either quilt as the border, but for $8.95 a yard, I just couldn't pass it by...so, so addictive

This is the "can't wait to get it home" dance. I wanna see if it matches the layers!!!

... and they're off!!!!

All the domestic ones were sent with a Delivery Confirmation # and either Priority or Parcel Post according to the postage provided.  The two to Canada were sent First Class International Parcel and the one to the UK was sent in a small flat rate Global Priority Mailer.  Two of you sent me too much in postage and I have enclosed some extra goodies to hopefully make up the difference.  Enjoy!

Please post when you receive your fabric, as I like to hear that all is well.

Thanks to everyone who joined in making this such a fun swap!   Pat

They are here!! Oh my--what a delightful assortment--now that 'jewel box' will get MUCH larger!!! What a lovely bunch of beauties! Pat, I think I owe you some postage, right? I'm almost positive I only sent $5 (it was before the postage rates went up!).
My oh my, who sent the Austrailian metallic gold on orange/brown? Amazing (and I usually don't care for the metallic stamps, but this one.....) I don't see anyone from down under on the swap list!
Pat, thank you sooooo much for doing this one.

Pat--
My beautiful batiks arrived today!! It really brightened my day! Now to figure out what project will be just right for these.
I got another package today too! I won a gift certificate from the on-line shop-hop. I ordered a pattern and kit, but I only got the pattern- the kit was out of stock. (A little dissapointed, but that's 1 less thing in my to-do pile)

Thanks for doing this swap.
