My layer cakes came a day or two ago, but I didn't know it! My hubby didn't mention it to me. I finally noticed the package buried under today's mail, and he said, "oh yeah, that came a day or two ago." !!! I guess he didn't realize how impatient I was to see all the pretty colors! They are beautiful! I'm still trying to decide what to do with them.....

Thanks, Pat, for being such a wonderful hostess!

AJ

How wonderful to hear that these lovely layer cakes are arriving so quickly to their new homes ...  even to Canada and over the pond!

Hope they are all safely home soon!

Enjoy your fabrics, everyone ...   Pat

PS ...

Sally ... that amazing embossed batik had a green and purple or brown and yellow background depending on where it was cut from the bolt ... it came from Sherry and is in the album showing both the embossed side and the plain side ... as I said at the time I posted it, I could not get a photo that did "justice" to the beauty of the fabric.

All of the fabrics in this swap are just wonderful .... I found the more I went back through each set, the more I appreciated each piece ... and I really enjoyed rearranging some of the sets and seeing how each color worked with all the other colors ... have fun playing with your squares ... :)

I found that fabric a while back and it just spoke to me, ya know! I fell in love with it and the lady that cut it for me said, "What are you gonna make with all this beautiful fabric?" And all I could say was,  "I have no idea, I just had to have it!" lol

It had such a variety of colors and just beautiful tones that it just had to come home with me! And I loved the fact that I could always turn it over if I didn't want to see the gold stamping too!

These are all very beautiful batiks! Thanks so much for all the wonderful colors everybody!

Hello swappers,
My squishy package arrived today in the mailbox. Sometimes the Post Office makes us Rural Routers go to the office to pick up packages. That would have been so disappointing because then I would know what I was missing.

The fabrics are just beautiful. I haven't opened the individual baggies yet. I'm in the middle of typing up minutes to the last Legion meeting and I know it will not get done today if I stop to "fondle" now.

Thank you swappers for all the excitement and anticipation.
Thank you Pat for the work you did and for the extra fabric. Those prints will fit nicely with the 2nd "crown of Jewels" I decided to make with regular fabrics from my scrap box.

Now back to work.

MY package has arrived! And they are so gorgeous! We have a snow day so I can play some.
I brought my computer from school and after a LOT of trial and error I have gotten logged in - LOL - as you can see.

Excellent! All the packages have made it to their destinations!

Deb is still travelling, but the Delivery Comfirmation tells me her squishy will be waiting for her when she gets home.

Thanks to everyone who worked together to make this a wonderful swap!

Think I shall go play with some pretty fabric ...   Pat

I found my package waiting for me when I got home... OHHHHH... what a nice thing to come home to! Pat, the squares are so pretty. I put them in my batik box for my batik braid quilt. I can't wait to cut into these but they have to wait till I finish at least ONE of my wips.
