I actually did this yesterday... works pretty slick... My mat is getting pretty worn, but it did get rid of the "beard" it was growing.... thanks for the tip, Gerda!

What a fun idea. I just got a new pkg of erasers. Quilt design and doodling - you go thru them. Now 1 lives on the windowsill above the cuttingmat. lol It's not lonely, there are a few other specialty thingys keeping it company.
