Well, I completely forgot to post my picture...Doh!
Anyway, Jess and I were talking over fabric washing, and she had an idea. Why don't we make the end of the challenge when 4 or 5 people are done. Cindy is going to get a $25 gift certificate for being first done, but she will still be in the running for the final vote.
Also, is there anyone who can take over as hostess? TAKS testing season is in session, so I will not be able to be as active as I would like. I'm lucky to make it the forums these days.

To summarize,
We will call it when 4 or 5 people are done
Then we will vote.
Cindy gets a reward for being the first done, but is still in the running for hte big prize
I need someone to take over as hostess.

What do ya'll think.

I would live to still have this going, and MAYBE get a chance to work on mine. I think it's a good idea, but will of course bow to the wishes of the group as a whole. I can't hostess, but I think it will be pretty easy for anyone who wants to take it over for a bit. :0)

I'll do it - I am still in this, just couldn't get it all done on time. However, now that daylight is longer, and it's getting warmer outside, I should be able to finish in the next month or two.
Thanks for letting this go on.

Ok, ladies, LISTEN UP!!! Those who are still in this, let's try to keep the occasional posts coming, so I know what's what? Thanks much! :)

Well, haven't gotten much more done on the blue snowflakes one, but did get a quilt top made from the redwork--need to post to show you how cute it turned out! Where, oh where did I leave my camera?

I have one that I'd still love to do, but I haven't even put it on my list yet. Sigh.

#2 project I was working on for this--I'm going to hand quilt it since it's soooo traditional. Gerda, thanks for the inspiration!

Absolutely beautiful Sally............just love the redwork. I envy those that can do this. I cannot embroider (except French knots) and it looks so elegant in a quilt.

wonderful work Sally.

Hugs and stitches

Beautiful,Sally!!! I really like that (and you're very welcome) I need to finish mine, kinda got out of working on them at night with the heat and all, but I am going to finish soon - I don't have a lot left to do with the stitching - just need to decide on a final setting.

Jess, one of these days you'll get to it - don't forget, you have two little ones underfoot, a business to run - you're busy, lady!!!
Debbieann, it really isn't that hard to do - nowadays a lot of ladies just do backstitch, which I don't like the look of, but that could be because I was taught to use different stitches from the get-go.
There are books at the library, and tutes online - all you need is a simple drawing (look up colouring pages online, and print one out), a piece of muslin or cotton, and some floss. It's a nice thing to work on when it's hot, I stitch as a passenger sometimes, too.
