On this cold, snowy day!! I woke up to about 4 inches of snow. I had thought it was less...then I went out in it! LOL. Picture 1 and 2 are the two views I get from standing at my cutting table and my sewing machine The last one is a closeup of the tree branches, don't they look cool!

Dorian - that is breathtaking!

We have had rain/snow mix here today, but nothing that has stuck at our house.... we did spend a big portion of our day adding antifreeze to cars, insulating pipes and faucets, and winterizing the motorhome....

temps are supposed to drop to the 20's for a day or two... we'll see what happens overnite......

Donna, as this is a new to us home, I am not sure how much snow accumulation it usually gets. We are at 3500 ft, so I think this is normal. We'll get snow, then rain and sun, and that will most likely  come and go all winter. So as we'll get lots of snow storms, it wont last for long each time.

We are expecting another 2-3 inches tonight, but some of the stuff on the ground might melt today. As we are expecting a bit of rain mixed in today. And then we'll have a few days of sun. So by next weekend, when we get another storm in. The stuff we have now will be almost gone.

OH MY GOODNESS...Dorian.  I just read this.. I envy where you are. I LOVE SNOW, SNOW, SNOW and MORE SNOW. Please take a little bit of time and enjoy it just for me..   Winter is my time of year.. I like Spring but here in Oklahoma it's a short season. I'm worse than a kid on Christmas morning when it snows.. I'll be the first to be out in it..  I really hope we get lots this winter, again...of course everyone around me thinks I'm a little  Take today for instance, it's 70 right now 11:45am, but by evening it's gonna drop to 30's, strong north wind.  Only 35 tomorrow with wind-chill in the 20's.. NOW if it would just snow...

Well ya'all have a HAPPY THANKSGIVING, and don't let the turkey being the only thing that is stuffed...(whether u stuff it or not.lol

Jean

i found this room here where we post pics of our view, just how fun is that!

so i thought i would share some of my saturday morning walk with you.

we walk out to the end of the breakwater and watch the sun rise.

its fun to see it slowly come up, casting light onto the water, then the hills, then it hits the masts in the harbour.

the second pic is just as the sky is lightening,

the first is a view of the pier and the city

the third is just as the sun comes up and lights a path thru the water

the fourth is the the hills beginning to light and the boats in the harbour

the fifth is a bit later as we are walking back from the breakwater and the light is enough

to cast great reflections of the boat masts

the sixth is the view north of the breakwater

the seventh is the view from our favorite table at the breakwater restuarant where we have our breakfast date.

hope this is not too much in the way of pics,  and i hope you enjoyed a bit of my walk

Beautiful pictures!! I am with Sally on the snow being outside and me admiring it from the inside!! You do have a beautiful view, Dorian. Love the sailboats too. Since the trees around here have grown so much in the last 30 years, I don't have much of a view of anything. Living on a hill would be nice!! Wendy
