I hope I can join in, too! Needleturn is one of my recent passions, and I sure would like to learn how to do it better. My challenge is points. I've never had much trouble with curves, but a leaf with a nice sharp point on the end would be great!

I think I'll need to syncronize (that ain't spelled right) my time with everyone else before this discussion.  This DLST has me so confused!  I'll check one of the time charts on-line and see how that compares with everyone else's time!

OK - I just went and did that - and I see that 6 p.m. Central Time is 5 p.m. Indiana time - does that sound right?  If so, I'm wondering if it would be possible to change the time of the discussion.  5 p.m. is about the time I'm out doing chores - althought I could probably get by with doing them at 6, now that it's light so much longer.

Nola-

Aren't you in Eastern time zone, same as me? We would be ahead of Texas, not behind, so that would make it 7:00, not 5:00. Assuming, of course, that Texas also goes on DLST.

I know that Indiana did not used to change. When I was a teenager, the state was the same as Eastern time in the winter and the same as Central time in the summer. This meant I could watch TV programs (when we lived in Richmond) from Dayton, and then re-watch them again from Indianapolis an hour later. In the days before tivo! LOL

Yeah, you're absolutely right, Meg.  I had another of those dreadful "senior moments" - I knew we are ahead of the states west of us - don't know what I was thinking!  6 p.m. should work OK for me - will toss something im the crockpot that evening so I won't have to think about supper.

Thanks, Jess! I'm confused by the daylight savings time, too. The lesson is going to be at 6 pm central time, 7 pm eastern time, right?
