Here is one that my friend Jeri pieced from some blocks that were purchased years ago on ebay (Mom was a newbie quilter and bought them). Jeri added a fun bumblebee border with fabric from my stash, and then she quilted it on Violet (my midarm) a couple of days ago. I think for her second quilt ever to quilt, it looks really amazing! I love the big loops, as mine are usually small. I think these are better! Very cute. I am going to teach her to bind it, since she wants to start helping me with all of the bindings that are stacking up.

Me TOO Donna! Haha. I am going to teach Jeri tomorrow. Billy says I am running a sweat shop for charity quilts around here lately. Lol. I just figure it won't get done without a little help and these ladies seem to be enjoying the free practice with Violet.

Laura came over last week and learned to dance with Violet, and she did really well. She has a very steady rhythm and her work is already nice and even. I will attach some pics. These are blocks that I won in a Happy Block Swap over on BC years ago, that I had sewn into rows. Jeri sewed the rows together, and Laura quilted it. We used a fun fleece - red with paw prints - for the backing since it matched one of the prints exactly.

Okay, here is another one. This one is in addition to the 14 that were originally donated. One of the Unfinished Stitchers donated this one... it was half quilted by hand when we got it. I finished it up on the machine, and it just needs binding before it goes to the Native American Reservation.

Jeri made this top out of a bunch of charm squares that Cindy N. gave me at the retreat last year. Then Jeri quilted it on her home machine, experiementing with different free motion designs. This was her first quilting job on "Tanya", her table top singer. Jeri bound it as well, and with a label it will be ready to go to Harmony Home when I visit West Texas this weekend.

Ladies, I can't remember who sent this to us. Laura brought it over, and I think she said one of the forum members made the top and donated both the top and the backing.

Dana quilted it on Saturday using a pretty leaf pantograph. This one is going to go to Pine Ridge. Dana is working on the binding.

This is Laura and Phire working on another extra quilt. This one has a funny story! Laura bought some fun fleece to back some of our donated tops, but the design on the fleece was showing through everything she tried to put it under. So she just made an extra top so that something would go with the backing! It is very cute. I think she must have taken it home though (maybe to finish the binding) because I don't have it here and I don't have a pic of it. Laura, do you have a pic?

well, Jess, 'Phire looks like she's right into quilting! If she doesn't turn out to be one, I'll be shocked!!
