hey y'all!!  i've got to go to the grocery store this morning, but after that chore is done the rest of the day is mine to do as i please!  and i please to spend my afternoon & evening bonding with mr. singer!  so if you're going to be spending the day sewing and quilting, fill your glass with sweet tea, pull up a chair and join me!  we always have fun at our cyber quilting bees!

to start with, i will be piecing some of the snug uniblocks from last november that i found lurking around the room - completely forgot about them!   i am soooo shameful aren't i??  after that, who knows?!!!

so what you are working on today?

Good morning, Ms Cindy! So far I've done my workout and finished the cat chores (washing bowls, changing cat litter). Just finished breakfast, so after my shower I'm going to throw in the first load of laundry and get to sewing!

I'm working on 2 PP feathered stars, so I hope to finish those today. One is my last little AAQI top and the other is for the guild silent auction. When the stars are done I'll start layering & quilting the AAQI tops.

Have fun today!

Here I am Ms. Cindy, as promised. Today I am working on little quilted needle holders. And after that....I don't know.

We will be leaving around 4 pm for Rhett's play-off game.

See you later.....

I got to this stage during the week. I planned to use the fabric I had and having bought the fabric last year and no plan till this past week I think I did well. I have very little more than small scraps left of the three fabrics and Step 1 of the quilt is the top before borders at almost 80" square. Today I plan to piece the back for this part so I can get it on the frame to thread baste. My stoppers and starters are 6" churn dash blocks and that will be an ongoing story for a long time to come. So some days I ignore the rest and work on these blocks only. We checked out a friends garage sale this morning. It's a cool damp morning with more rain looming. Enough already. Let's see sun for more than minutes or a quick wink. Very suiting weather for sewing.

Cindy, that is quite okay to stay on the phone with DH.

Agnes, that quilt is so beautiful. I just love the color combinations.

Oh, Cindy, check your email. I sent you a photo of the needle cases (along with a few other photos).

And I finished the June I Spy blocks today as well.

I'm off to watch Ghostbusters! (for the 100th time LOL)

Well Hi ya'all! I didn't know there was a sewing bee going on today. Cool!

I've been spending my morning working on Gilly's table topper. I don't have a pattern, just winging something together. So far...so good    But I can't show you, cause it's a secret

Lovely colors in your quilt Agnes. Great you are using some of your stash up....gives you room to buy more

Can't wait to see your itty bitty feathered stars Donna.

Oohh, can't wait to see your needle cases too  Cherie...LOL, you don't like Ghostbusters very much do you ??

I am at work today   But I still get to sew!  I am working on tacking down the stars for the "origami" blocks DD folded for me.

When I get home I am hoping to work on Delia's RR. That means no sharing of pictures since I am pretty sure she is a non-peeker. I am hoping to get it done this weekend and in the mail.

Lovely projects!  I just love our virtual sewing bees!

Well after going to Lily Land this morning, getting some FABULOUS lilies and getting all sweaty, cause yes it's HOT and HUMID here too Cindy!  I am now home, got me some lunch and started in the sewing room before I came to check in here!~Didn't know you started this thread!~

Guess what I have been working on?

Remember that brick quilt that I started cutting in Tomball? The blue batik one? Well, it's laid out and I'm about to start sewing! Be back after while to show you my progress!

Gotta go now!
