This thread is here to help our volunteers with the specifics of our charity projects. It is for informational use only. Please don't post to this thread. If you have comments you can post to the individual threads or the Quilter's Give Back general thread. You can also send a PM to Jess or Cindy (misisipimenace), or email Jess at jess@thequiltandneedle.com or Cindy at cindy@thequiltandneedle.com

Quilt sizes are based on the block sizes and are not intended to be standard mattress sizes although those sizes have been taken into account in our requirements.

Questions can be sent to Jess at jess@thequiltandneedle.com or to Cindy at cindy@thequiltandneedle.com.

Snug Society Quilts

Project Moderator - Cindy (misisipimenace
Charity Contact - Heather Sliwinski @ Operation First Response

New block patterns and color schemes for each month are listed. These quilts will be sent to Operation First Response.  During 2009, the Snug Society moderators received some feedback from Operation First Response team volunteers.  These quilts are to be packed into backpacks to be shipped overseas to the veterans.  OFR has requested only lap-size quilts for this purpose.  Patriotic color-schemes and patriotic "novelty" prints are always well received by the soldiers - along with a few "civilian novelty" prints.  We are used to making many different "color scheme" blocks, but we hope everyone will get on board for the new Red, White & Blue blocks for this year's Snug Uniblock quilts!
