Here are some scenic picts for you to enjoy. The first one is the field of those green leafy things Carson is walking thru in the previous post. I have no idea what they are.

Super pics, Dorian!! Looks like you all had a blast! And I thought Carson was standing in a corn field!
What beautiful, relaxing surroundings to spend a day! Thank you for sharing.

Thanks, Dorian! It looks so cool and inviting. Too bad you don't know what those big green plants are - I was going to ask!

Sally, I looked up Canna's in wikipedia, and these do not seem to be them. Canna's like sub-tropic and tropic weather, and these things are growing on the ridge of a mountain, quite a few thousand feet up. LOL.  I am not sure what they are, I may do a search and see one day..LOL

Nope, not skunk cabbage either. Thanks Denise. As you can see by the picture of Carson in them, they are quite tall, and there were no flowers on them. Not sure if there were and they were spent, or if they haven't flowered yet.

Hi Sarah, I live waaay up almost to the top of California. If you look on a map, and see Redding, go south a little bit (Red bluff) then head West till you hit the mountains. I just call them the west coast mountain range....I'm sure they have a name though. ROFL....just don't know what it is, off the top my head.
