I'll try to be there -I have EQ5 installed, but haven't gone further. Maybe I can pick up some pointers.

gerda, if you have EQ5, please email your questions to jess.  it may be that she'll either know the answer or will be able to research it and learn the answer!  it's my understanding that EQ5 and EQ6 are very similar - one just has a few more "bells & whistles" is all . . .

Great! I love EQ6, but I don't use it as much as I should!

Yes Gerda, EQ5 and 6 are very similar. You should fit right in!!

Please everyone e-mail me with topics you would like to discuss. This program is massive and we will only have time to cover certain points, so let me know what you want!!

aw, I don't even know where to begin with questions! I have EQ 6 and don't have a clue about any of it. I haven't had the time to really just sit and use it. Getting started would be the best thing for me to know..how to pick a block and lay it out, how to import fabrics into it and then into your design....

Jess, will we be able to save the discussion so we can refer back to it when we're messing about on our own? I know I can save IMs from Yahoo, but haven't tried this forum. Is it possible? I know my pea brain will not remember it all LOL

One thing I'd like to find out - after one has what Jenn mentions - a layout, how do we get the cutting directions and sizes to cut.

gerda, i know that jess has copied/pasted book chats here into the forum.  i spect the same could be done to make a word doc or a pdf to be saved for future reference.  i'll make sure jess sees this request just in case i am not able to be in the chatroom friday night.  i plan to be there - but my friend laura has requested the services of Prince Taxi this week and i cannot remember what her work schedule is for friday

Hi ladies!! Don't forget about the chat tonight. I am ready to guide you through a few startup processes. Very simple stuff, I am sure you will all be ready to design on your own after tonight!!

Gerda - Just remind me periodically during the chat. I have to copy and paste it every so often because it does not keep the entire thing. I will make a PDF for everyone. Good idea anyway, we can post these on the Discussion Session page on the main site and maybe get some more folks coming around for them.
