Here is the transcript of the chat ladies, thanks to all of those who made it!

So, who has started the tutorials?

Gerda (and all)- You had asked about getting the fabric requirements and block sizes, etc. once you have drawn the quilt. Look under File - Print. There are options to print the Fabric Requirements, etc. If you click on a block before going to File - Print, then you will have the option to print the rotary cutting chart for that block, templates, etc. When you click on one of these print options, you will get a new window that lets you choose the settings for the print job (Ex. How many inches wide is the fabric yardage you are using? 40 inches? 42 inches?). In this new window, you can click Preview. Then click zoom, and click on the preview page and drag a sqaure around a section to zoom in on. You can then scroll around the page and look at the info before printing. Saves paper!

Oh, and at the bottom of the block rotary cutting directions, it will tell you how big that block is. There is also a ruler tool you can use in the main editing screen to measure, but you have to be pretty precise with it.

Btw, the zooming instructions I just mentioned is how you zoom in any screen - once you hit zoom, you have to click and drag a square marquee around the section you want to zoom in on. It took me forever to figure this out!

Oh thank you Jess,
I had hoped to join you on the chat but was still at work (and desperately trying to get out of here!!) I really enjoyed reading all of it, but made an excerpt for my computer file.
Here's the excerpt from the chat that's just on the EQ stuff (I removed the 'chat' part such as hellos, fixing food, taking naps, goodbyes, etc.) Tried to attach the pdf but it's too big--here's the Word version.

Thanks, Jess and Sally!! I will be saving these immediately. As soon as I catch up on some projects I plan to sit down (on a day when DH isn't here to interrupt me :)) and work through it.
