Me, too!

Ladies, Cindy posted my guild RR top, because I added some of these hexagon flowers to a border, with button centres. Thanks, Cindy!

Gerda--Thanks for those links. Both give me incentive to want to get at hexes. May join on this Quilt-a-Long, depending how quickly I get other projects finished.

Sign me up! You know I want to Quilt-a-long with you!

I have really just started making these.  I am using Cindy's Tuna Can folded circle method ... I have tried other ways and found this the most comfortable one for me ...

I do not have a time frame or a definite plan for these ... ... I just want to keep making them until I have enough for a quilt ... I do envision, I think, something like this one that I found on the Quilter's Cache site that Masako made ...

whoohooo!!  more Hexers!

agnes, that's the nice thing about a quilt-a-long!  there are NO deadlines, no swapping by mail - you work at your own pace, whenever!  the idea is merely to share!  the "sign-up list" is mostly just to know who else is interested in hexing

gerda - as always, you are the ISQ!!  internet search queen, in case you're wondering!

thanks for the links, ms pat!  i haven't exactly decided on my final layout yet . . . this is one quilt that will take some time to complete, so no hurry for me!

Alrighty, I am in

The hexagon's I am working on, I got the inspiration for what I want to do with them from Jean & Valori Wells's book "Thru the Garden Gate". It's a watercolor hexagon quilt. She has a couple of beautiful ones in this book....or maybe it was the book "Everything Flowers"...LOL, it was one or the other.

Jean owns The Stitchin Post in Sisters, OR (when I was a teen, I lived right down the road from Sisters! I wished I lived there now, I would love to visit this shop).

Her Daughter, Valori Wells, makes fabric lines and quilt patterns for Free Spirit.

I was trying to find a picture of the watercolor hex quilt, but I don't think I will. You'll just have to go to the library and get the book, if you are interested.

Cindy, I would like to sign up too. I have become addicted to these things.

My sweet dh took me shopping this weekend and bought me some really pretty florals and suprised me with a circle cutter and extra blades for mothers day. Last night he helped me cut my circles, fold the hexagons, and put them in snack baggies so I can grab them and go.

Not sure what I want to do with them yet. I really like the quilt pat posted. I guess I could always make 2.
