Albeit small, here is my finish. It is the first of a series of 12. Though it is the Jan flower it will double up for Dec this year. My goal is that by end of 2012 the whole series will be done. I started the project in 2010 and have 8 stitched, working on the #9 currently. As that is July I can coast for a bit once I have the fabric parts added to the stitching for the first six months.

Here are two pillows I finished this morning. The Celtic applique was started in a QU class in 2009. I finished the center during the class then decided I didn't like my color scheme and put it away. I got it out last weekend and drafted and appliqued the border, which didn't take very long at all!

Every other year when my guild has its quilt show, Blank Quilting sends us hundreds of these little hexagon kits as door prizes. (Each kit makes one "flower.") This year I kept a few to try English PP. Don't think I'll do any more, at least nothing very big. Anyway, I didn't know what else to do with it so made another pillow. They are both 16" and will be donated to my guild.

Donna, love the pillows, especially the celtic one!

Agnes--lovely X-stitch--thanks for the reminder about the site--I was thinking of doing a 'cross-stitch' quilt (square of colour for each cross stitch in design)--and carnation is lovely, speaking as a January baby!!

beautiful, donna!!!!  the sage green color seems to be all the rage this year doesn't it?!

i have just finished my great-nephew erich's long johns stocking.  he's the newest of my momma's great-grandchildren.  i was a bit . . . ummmm . . . perturbed (not really perturbed, but i can't think of any other description  ) that his momma did not choose christmas fabric for his christmas stocking, but the camo did turn out rather cute didn't it?

Hope Santa can "find" the stocking with it being camo and all...

They turned out really cute, Is it a hard pattern?? Can you share what the pattern is??
It might be kinda cute for the Holiday Booth at the school auction.

thanks,

LOL midge - if santa can't find it, it's all his momma's fault ;)

the pattern name is Bottoms Up! by Calico Moon Pattern Co.  i googled it and all i could find was a listing on artfire.com and the pattern was already sold there.  i found a couple of wholesale distributors, but no retail.  it is very cute and very easy to make.  the hardest part is getting the lining stuffed back down into the legs after everything is turned.   the pattern does not call for lining, but momma lined the first ones she made and i have continued her tradition for any more of her great-grandchildren that come along.

WTG, marissa!  i really like the ballerina quilt too - is that applique or a panel?  the pieced backing is perfect for the quilt.  and the first one where you mentioned the rows getting out of order? it's fantastic too!!  you done good!

it's done!  it's done!  IT'S DONE!!!!!

I finished our cover for out log bed last night... not sure what to call it..... a summer topper?   It was originally a duvet cover... reversible.... but it's too heavy with our original comforter inside.... so I've packed it away.....   you can read more about it on my blog.....  but here are the pics...

side 1..... "At the Lake"

Side 2:  "Diamonds in the sky"  Dec 2010 Mystery from here on the Q&N.... I had to add the rusty side borders to make it the same size as the flip side....

It feels so good to have this one done!

I have a December finish, too!

This was two tree skirt panels from the Wintersburg collection (Windham?) that I put together, lined with a backing, and simply stitched on some of the dividing lines.
